Board Member Laurie Sprayregen on Divisional Boards
As the chair of a Divisional Board of JBFCS that helps support 15 mental health clinics throughout the five boroughs, I initially struggled to find a way to connect to the work happening at each location. A Divisional Board is a committee of people who advocate and raise funds for specific JBFCS programs. Although getting involved with a Divisional Board provides a great opportunity to give back, mental health clinics are not places where volunteers have much client interaction. Therefore, our Divisional Board members made it our mission to do what we could to celebrate and support
the clinical staff; to recognize and appreciate them for the work that they do.
