National Recovery Month and the Jewish New Year

Both A Time of Introspection and Renewal

As the end of summer approaches, I look ahead to the fall and upcoming Jewish New Year, a time of introspection and renewal. This year, the Jewish New Year coincides with National Recovery Month, and the underlining themes are intertwined. It is indeed a time to celebrate strengths and triumphs as individuals, as an agency, as a community--and a time to look within.

Recovery Month promotes prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and  reaffirms  that recovery in all its forms is possible. JBFCS is a proud participant in Recovery Month, posting stories on our Facebook page and blog, sharing our achievements and the accomplishments of those working with us on our website, uploading photos reflecting the encouragement we promote and share among staff members and consumers.

If you have a story to share, please send it to us on our website or email it to stories@jbfcs.org
