Gold and Silver Ball: The 55th annual Gold and Silver Ball will be held on December 18th at 583 Park Avenue. Over 700 students are expected to attend the dance, which raises funds for JBFCS’ Youth Counseling League. Tickets are available on a first-come basis and are expected to sell out.

Dedication of the Lindsay Elisabeth Merker Reading Corner: On November 14th, a group of over 40 friends and family members joined Linda Nash Merker and her husband Robert Merker for the dedication of our Yellow Classroom, in memory of their daughter Lindsay Elisabeth Merker. CDC Parent Fundraiser: On May 18th, the Child Development Center’s Parent Association hosted an auction and raffle to support the CDC’s Early Intervention and Therapeutic Nursery Program. Spring Benefit: On April 21st, 2010, we raised nearly $1 million by honoring three great New Yorkers from three different boroughs where JBFCS is making a difference---David Everett (Brooklyn), John Herrmann (Manhattan) and Russell Simmons (Queens).

The Lindsay Elisabeth Merker Theatre Benefit: 
The Lindsay Elisabeth Merker Theatre Benefit was held at Sardi's on April 29th, followed by a fantastic performance of 'The Addams Family' starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. This was the 15th annual Merker event, raising money and awareness for JBFCS' Center for Child Development and Learning and is sponsored by Linda Nash Merker and Robert Merker in memory of their daughter, Lindsay.

Ladies Night Out: Every year volunteer leadership from our Center for Child Development & Learning (CCDL) host an evening of fun, food and ideas. This past April 12th, a Trustee hosted a cocktail party for nearly 100 guests including the comedienne Karen Bergreen who entertained the audience for nearly an hour.
