The challenges of a working at a nonprofit are nothing new to Maria Corvino, who comes to JBFCS from the Wildlife Conservation Society. But JBFCS’ residential facilities, counseling centers, domestic violence shelters, and more involve a different revenue stream than protecting animals did, and Maria is looking forward to tackling this interesting and rewarding challenge.
As anyone who has ever started here remembers, there is a lot to discover about this vast agency, and Maria is excited to learn about all 175 programs we offer. Plus, she feels that by working here, she’s helping out New Yorkers and making a contribution to the city she lives in. Working here provides a deeper sense of purpose.
It's not just number crunching—it's making a difference in the lives of the people around her.
