Providing LGBTQ Culturally Competent Care
This course is designed to help service providers become more culturally sensitive to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals and families they serve.training can help individuals and programs achieve greater success toward their goal of providing services to all clients, regardless of their race, religion or culture. Participants will learn about the specific challenges faced by LGBTQ individuals in the mental health care system, how to work with this population, and how to create a safe and affirming environment for all clients and staff. This course is recommended for any staff person who comes into contact with clients.
