A 68-bed, extended-stay Community Residence/Single Room Occupancy (CR/SRO) that provides individual studio apartments for formerly homeless individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Tenant organization and on-site rehabilitative services support residents' reintegration into the community. The program is a collaboration between JBFCS and the Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty.

Helps consumers gain access to psychiatric, medical, social, educational and vocational rehabilitation services. Case managers work intensively with consumers to minimize hospitalizations, emergency room visits and institutional placements.

Participants develop personalized recovery plans to realize life role goals and integrate into the community. The program utilizes evidence-based practices, person-centered individual and group services, and optional vocational and clinical services to assist participants in achieving their goals.

REAL Recovery is a community-based program that utilizes a harm reduction approach for treating adults who are in various stages of recovery from substance abuse and who are also coping with mental illness. The program offers both group and individual modalities, and participants in the program are encouraged to support each other in achieving rehabilitation goals.

Provides permanent housing for adults with mental illness who are able to live independently. Through bimonthly visits, workers support the residents as they develop and maintain their recovery goals. Residents engage in a variety of community activities such as full-time and part-time employment, educational activities, voluntary services and other civic events.

A scattered-site apartment program that provides transitional housing for adults with mental illness. The program’s philosophy is to provide a normalizing, home-like environment where direct care workers assist residents to work on basic living skills and recovery goals to integrate into the community. The residents participate in a variety of community and program activities such as voluntary services, employment, advisory committees and program activities.

The Continuing Day Treatment Program provides a range of wellness, recovery and psychiatric rehabilitation services for adults 18 years of age or older living with mental illness. The program helps consumers remain psychiatrically stable, define and pursue their paths to recovery, develop social skills to integrate more fully into the community, address issues of housing, education, work and relationships, and assess co-occurring substance use and medical disorders. Services available in English, Spanish and Russian.

This residential program serves formerly homeless adults with psychiatric disabilities who hope to turn their lives around and build for their future. The program is designated by the New York State Office of Mental Health as a Level II residence. Community Residence/Single-Room Occupancy, with a professional support staff available 24 hours a day. Units are for men and women over the age of 18 who are eligible under the terms of the New York/New York Agreement.
