More than 2,000 volunteers become heroes every year as they give of their time and open their hearts. Volunteers are mentors, phone companions and big brothers and sisters. All exemplify the true meaning of connection.
Volunteering is at the heart of our tradition. JBFCS provides mental health and social services to more than 55,000 New Yorkers annually. This meaningful care is supported by the devotion of our volunteers who range from teens to seniors coming from diverse cultures, faiths, races, and backgrounds.
Over 2,000 men and women work as volunteers throughout agency programs providing adjunct support to therapeutic services. A Volunteer Services coordinator for each program provides training and supervision on an ongoing basis to volunteers.
