Linden Hill, a 64 bed Residential Treatment Facility (RTF), is for boys and girls ages 12 to 21 years old with severe psychiatric conditions. Children are referred by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). An average stay at Linden Hill is between 9 and 11 months, during which time adolescents participate in intensive milieu therapy, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, special education and vocational training, all in an open setting. Linden Hill’s treatment teams strongly encourage participation from both the family and the resident in developing and reviewing treatment plans.
